Computer Scientist

SimTech is currently seeking a Computer Scientist to support the Naval Research Laboratory, Tactical Electronic Warfare Division (TEWD). The TEWD's purpose is to protect the warfighter from emerging threats by advancing electronic warfare (EW) through simulation, testing and evaluation. The Computer Scientist will provide software documentation and configuration management in support of EW simulation experiments. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance is required.

Minimum Required Skills

Experience with hardware-in-the-loop real-time simulation concepts, high speed interfaces and computer-based data acquisition systems required, fiber optics reflective memory networks including VMIC and/or SCRAMNet, software documentation and configuration management, developing routines, modules or classes for software programs in a team environment, using Microsoft Office applications to document work products for long term support and configuration management.

EW Trial Coordinator

SimTech is currently seeking an EW Trial Coordinator to support the Naval Research Laboratory, Tactical Electronic Warfare Division (TEWD). Software Engineer

SimTech is currently seeking a Software Engineer to support the Naval Research Laboratory, Tactical Electronic Warfare Division (TEWD). The TEWD's purpose is to protect the warfighter from emerging threats by advancing electronic warfare (EW) through simulation, testing and evaluation. The Software Engineer will support the NRL through development and maintenance of the EW simulations and components of the simulations. The Software Engineer shall design, construct and verify simulator control panels and software simulations.

Senior-level Computer Analyst

SimTech is seeking a Senior-level Computer Analyst with cyber specialty to support simulation laboratories and sites. Position requires work in all phases of the C&A life cycle including: security analysis, development, configuration management, exercise support and ATO sustainment for a Program with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Experience working in the Acquisition Lifecycle and be able develop the Cyber Security Milestone documentation required. Hands-on experience with DoD Cyber Policies and Procedures necessary.

Analyst will develop system/network/application Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages and artifact documentation. The Cyber Security Analyst will perform DISA STIG reviews to ensure cyber security program compliance with Government statutes, RMF cyber security Controls, DoD FISMA directives, policies and regulations. Personnel will be responsible for identifying, reporting and recommending risk mitigation strategies. The Cyber Security Analyst will conduct periodic risk assessments and vulnerability scans using manual and automated tools in accordance with - primarily using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and SCAP. The Senior Cyber Analyst will also work with a team of Engineers to review C&A documentation for compliance. Responsible for coordination of application security scanning and working with developers on issues and mitigations. Candidate must be able to work multiple projects simultaneously, work independent and as a team in achieving accreditation of several systems with an aggressive schedule. Will be involved with the development, implementation, maintenance, and surveillance of HBSS and ePO server. Qualified applicant may also be required to conduct internal penetration testing of the systems that belong to the MDA Program, in a controlled lab environment. Up to 30% travel expected.

Minimum Required Skills

11+ years' experience in computer cyber security. Experience/understanding of networking protocols from application layers to the Ethernet layers; Working knowledge of Red Hat Linux operating systems; Experience with eMASS; Development of POA&Ms to include IAVA tracking and resolution. Previous experience performing cyber security duties for an MDA program office is preferred. Ability to conduct internal penetration testing of MDA program related systems in a lab environment needed. Qualified Candidates must have an active SECRET Clearance. A DOD 8570-1 level II security certification is required for consideration of employment.

Computer Analyst with Network Specialty

Computer Analyst with Network specialty The selected candidate will perform analysis of wide area and local network communications supporting Missile Defense Agency (MDA) test events. The candidate will report on baseline network performance and provide senior leaders with suggested modifications to ensure optimal network performance based upon test event objectives, architectures and participant data transmissions. The analyst will use simulation techniques to plan new systems or identify complications in existing ones.

Entry-Level Computer Analyst with Specialty in System Administration

SimTech is seeking an Entry-Level Computer Analyst with Specialty in System Administration to support Single Stimulation Framework (SSF) and Objective Simulation Framework (OSF) centric efforts. Applicant will build and configure MDA CONUS and OCONUS site computer systems such as SIU. Support cyber security measure with MDA approved IAVA and OS updates to SIU computer hardware. Provide support to DES-BMDS computer services team. Support Single Stimulation Framework systems, assembling, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing equipment. Candidate configures and images servers for BMDS test use at deployed sites. May produce procedures supporting hardware and software products. Supports other system administrators and team members as required. Requires 5+ years' experience supporting Linux systems. VMWare and networking experience required. Linux+, Security+ certifications required. Ability to work effectively in a team environment is necessary. Previous experience with CISCO systems and familiarity with RMF and/or DIACAP desired. Ability to script with-in Linux is a preference. Prior knowledge of documentation or procedure creation and updating preferred. Qualified Candidates must have an active SECRET Clearance or higher. Primary duties will include threat target signatures modeling and sensor assessment and will require a strong engineering background to understand the phenomena and algorithms. Duties will include developing and applying threat target characteristics to execute Optical Signatures Codes and deliver threat signature models for MDA simulations. Experience working with MDA EIT and their DIHD deliveries is a plus. Target Discrimination analysis experience an asset. Fortran experience and Python and Linux is also desired. Experience in missile 6DOF modeling is a plus also. Strong candidates will have degree in Electrical/Optical Engineering, Physics, or Math. Strong candidates may also have experience in physics-based scene generation and sensor evaluation. Minimum of a bachelor's degree; preference to advanced degrees. SimTech is seeking an engineering/scientist intern to support simulation laboratories. Primary duties will include software execution, backups, and general lab support. Strong candidates will have at least a sophomore level in college, with an engineering/physics/math/computer science major and will hold at least a 3.0 GPA. Candidates should be highly motivated to pursue a career in electrical or computer engineering with C++ programming skills. Position is for a minimum of 20 hours per week, year-round. Software developer with 6-7 years experience. Will assume responsibility for learning, operating, and modifying existing radar simulation software. Strong programming skills in C++, C, and legacy FORTRAN in both Windows and Linux environment required. Radar simulation experience highly desirable.
